Our Faith: Service

At Corpus Christi our faith is put into action and a vision of social justice is created through outreach programs designed to instill a sense of individual responsibility to the local and global community. In addition to our spiritual support through prayer, the goodness and generosity of our families enables us to provide needed financial support and material items to those in need.

Some groups that we have 'reached out' to include: Assisi House, Baylor Correctional Institute, Birthrite, Boys Home of Claymont, Emily Bissell Hospital, Emmanuel Dining Room, Mary Mother of Hope House, Ronald McDonald House, Sienna House, Sojourners Place, St. Vincent de Paul Society, Soap for Hope, Toys for Tots, Tsunami victims and Veterans Hospital.

  • A TAG day is set aside each trimester to provide students the opportunity to dress out of uniform by making a contribution to a designated cause. These funds have been used to support organizations such as the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Tri-State Bird Rescue, local hurricane victims, Gulf coast hurricane victims, the Earth Foundation and the Rose fund.
  • Each year the Corpus Christi Student Council which includes all 6th, 7th and 8th grade students supports groups or organizations in need through fund-raisers. In recent years the Ronald McDonald House, the Franciscan missions in Africa and school children in Afghanistan have received financial support from our students. The student council fund raiser "Reach out and touch..." provided over 50 international and domestic phone cards to military personnel stationed throughout the world allowing them to stay connected to loved ones on Valentine's Day.
