Corpus Christi has two homerooms per grade with one teacher in each homeroom. Full time personnel include teachers of Computer, Spanish, Librarian, Special Reading and Special Math. The Accelerated Reader, Music, Band, Art and Physical Education teachers work part time. Teacher assistants support students and teachers at every grade level and in special classes. A full time counselor provides students with appropriate classroom programs and offers individual counseling. There is a full-time school nurse on staff. Kindergarten through Grade 3 students that qualify for additional services receive additional small group instruction in reading and math as a result of the federally funded Title I Program.
Teachers attend workshops and classes that increase their knowledge and understanding of curriculum and the diverse needs of children. Our teachers have an average of 17 years teaching experience and realize that as the world changes so do the children they teach. They understand the importance of flexibility and the need to constantly adapt teaching methods. The administration is supportive of new and innovative methods and encourages the faculty to be creative when planning and implementing lessons.
Corpus Christi's principal is supported by an administrative assistant, a secretary-receptionist and a secretary-typist.
There is one full-time maintenance person on staff. Additionally, a janitorial service is employed for daily cleaning of classrooms, restrooms and all other areas.
